“GIN GIN” The Place For Gin in Mexico City…

Un secreto a voces que ha despertado la curiosidad de los locales y descubierto nuevas formas de consumir el gin. El Gin Gin es un espacio ideal para tomar cocteles con ginebra y disfrutar de un menú reducido pero muy exquisito. Un Kitchen-bar dedicado a servir en un ambiente muy misterioso, poco tradicional y muy interesante; la decoración incita al secreto y hace de una casa vieja, un lugar increíble para disfrutar los mejores gins de la ciudad. 

Pueden probar una gran variedad de cocteles, incluso cocteles vírgenes para todos aquellos abstemios. Es un lugar que vale la pena visitar, la música es para todo tipo de gustos y a través de su Página de Facebook pueden observar los diferentes DJ’s y músicos invitados que estarán tocando durante la semana. Un bar ubicado en una de las zonas más hispters y “trendys” de la Ciudad de Mexico, La Roma. Dónde la luz tenue y las plantas crean una atmósfera acogedora y llamativa para esta espectacular ciudad. A new “speakeasy” that has conquered the inevitable lifestyle of the locals in Mexico City. It is a Kitchen-bar located in one of the trendiest and hipster zones in Mexico called La Roma. The ambience has its own mystery and charm that will surprise you every time. People come here for the Gin cocktails prepared exquisitely by the bartender, definitely the best gins in the city.

The menu is small but the dishes are delicious, I completely recommend trying the peanuts with olives seasoned in spicy spices and the pizzas. I don’t remember the name of my favorite cocktails but one was made with cucumber, sake, gin, and tonic; and the other one had a very special gin mixed with the juice of the olives and a splash of tonic water. They sound simple but they are completely astounding. The decoration is quite peculiar and interesting but cool and classy at the same time. It is a place worth visiting. In order to keep the secrecy, reservations are made through the Facebook page. Hope you like the recommendations and always remember to Keep it Local!

 

Mediterranean Cruise Part II … Istanbul

 

Now we are in Istanbul, a very different and uncommon place for me, however, here is where I saw the best sunrise of my life. It truly was a paint from God, when the ship was arriving to shore we could see the Blue Mosque, the buildings, and the amazing colors surrounding the city, orange, purpule, and yellow mixing each other to create the perfect canvas. After we were allowed to get out of the ship, we took a tour with a company called Tura Turizm. We visited the Topkapi Palace, home of the Sultans for 3 centuries; St. Sophia Museum, the most important Byzantine monument in Istambul; the Blue Mosque, a breathtaking and beautiful place, however, to get inside we had to take our shoes and women had to cover themselves below the knees, the head and the shoulders, if you want a truly local experience it is the place to visit and get to know more about the culture and religion of Istambul. We also visited the Spice Market, where we obviously found and great variety of spices, including Indian Zafron; and the Turkish Delight, specialty Turkish candies, which are like gummies filled with pistachio, rose, orange, or lemon and coated in confectioners sugar, they were delicious, soft, and with a nice surprise of the flavor on the inside. The last place we visited was the Grand Bazaar, an enormous warehouse where you can basically find everything, from scarfs, necklaces, earrings, not so expensive 14k gold, and a lot of handbags, shoes, belts, but all were imitations from high end designers.

Where to go in The Hamptons Part II Sag Harbor, Bridgehampton, East Hampton

This post is a continuity of the latest post “Where to go in The Hamptons.” This is Part II, a recommendation of places to visit in Sag Harbor, Bridgehampton, and East Hampton.

Sag Harbor:

– Bay Burger

A roadside local burger joint that delivers fresh flavors and undeniable marvelous home made ice cream. Everything that this place offers is made from scratch with local ingredients.  The décor is simple but cozy, and the staff is extremely friendly. Additional to meat burgers, you can also find Lobster Rolls, and my favorite, the Fish Burger; made with atlantic cob, chopped and seasoned with garlic, shallots, and parsley, served with spinach and homemade tartar sauce. It was exquisite, definitely the best fish burger I have ever tried. Even though the menu is simple, every dish is made with a certain elegance that surely distinguishes this burger joint form the others. Comfort food is what Bay Burger is all about.

Bay Burger es un lugar muy local situado al costado de la carretera que va hacia el pueblo de Sag Harbor. Es un restaurante que ofrece sabores frescos y excelentes helados hechos en casa, bueno en realidad todo que lo que sirven está hecho en casa desde cero con ingredientes locales y de temporada. La decoración es simple pero muy acogedora y la gente es super amigable. Además de las hamburguesas típicas de carne, también sirven los famosos Lobster Rolls y mi platillo favorito del lugar, la hamburguesa de Pescado. Es la mejor hamburguesa de pescado que he comido, el bacalao es molido con ajo, perejil y shallots, rebosado en pan molido y servido con espinacas y salsa tártara. Estaba delicioso, perfectamente sazonado. Aunque el menú del lugar es simple, cada platillo está elaborado con cierta elegancia que distingue a este lugar de los demás.  

Bridgehampton:

– Pierre’s

A French Bistro known for its amazing pastries. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and diner. It specializes in local seafood and the menu changes constantly according to season, so expect freshness and elegance in ever dish. The ambiance is cozy, elegant and sophisticated but relaxed.

Un Bistro Francés conocido por su maravillosa pastelería y panadería. Todos los días sirven desayuno, comida y cena, y brunch los fines de semana. El lugar se especializa en servir mariscos locales y el menú cambia constantemente dependiendo de la estación, por lo que pueden esperar platillos frescos y de temporada. El ambiente es acogedor, clásico y sofisticado, pero relajado a la vez.  

East Hampton

– CittaNuova

CittaNuova is an italian fashionable and stylish trattoria. The ambiance is casual and the setting outside are perfect for drinks in the afternoon. Everything in the decoration for this place was brought directly from Italy. The menu gives a sophisticated touch to the traditional Italian dishes.

CittaNuova es una trattoria italiana muy chic y de moda. El ambiente es totalmente casual y las mesas en el patio son excelentes para tomar unos drinks en la tarde. Toda la decoración del lugar fue traída desde Italia. El menú brinda un toque sofisticado a los platillos italianos tradicionales. 

– Nichol’s of East Hampton

Nichol’s is a truly local English Pub in the roadside of Montauk highway, almost located in Amagansett. The ambiance is completely casual and easy going. Locals say celebrities can be spotted from time to time, so be aware. The service is a little bit slow, so have patience when you come to Nichol’s.

Nichol’s es un Pub Inglés totalmente local ubicado al costado de la carretera Montauk pasando Amagansett. El ambiente es muy casual, nada elegante. Los locales dicen que a los artistas les gusta mucho asistir a este lugar, así que, manténganse atentos. Lo único malo del mismo es que el servicio es un poco lento. 

– Babette’s

Babette’s is all about organic, seasonal, fresh, and locally produced ingredients. The menu includes completely vegetarian dishes and it has a wonderful juice bar offering fresh smoothies and cleansing juices. It has an outdoor patio that transforms into an oasis for almost every season. Its main focus is to support and sustain the community by helping local farmers grow and connect. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; however, it is famous for its tasty and flavorful brunch.

Babette’s se dedica a servir alimentos locales, orgánicos, frescos y de temporada. El menú incluye platillos totalmente vegetarianos y su barra de jugos ofrece smoothies muy refrescantes y jugos para limpiar al organismo. Tiene un patio que se transforma en un oasis durante primavera, verano y otoño. La finalidad principal del restaurante es crear platillos deliciosos apoyando a la comunidad y ayudando a los granjeros locales a crecer. Está abierto todos los días para desayuno, comida y cena; sin embargo, es muy famoso por el brunch los fines de semana. 

– East Hampton Point

East Hampton Point is the restaurant from the hotel with the same name. It is an elegant, sophisticated, and high end restaurant right in the middle of the marina in East Hampton. The menu is rather exquisite, serving contemporary American cuisine. The best thing about this restaurant is the view, it is truly breath taking; nothing more comforting than enjoying a glass of wine overlooking the sunset.

East Hampton Point es un restaurante que forma parte del hotel con el mismo nombre, un hotel de lujo que se encuentra en la marina de East Hampton. El lugar es muy elegante y sofisticado. El menú ofrece platillos exquisitos de comida Americana contemporánea. Lo mejor de este lugar es la vista, realmente es espectacular.

Shopping, lifestyle, beach:

There is a huge amount of shopping in these three small towns. I recommend to stroll around the Main Street in East Hampton, and on the Montauk Highway that crosses though Bridgehampton. The stores are painteresque, beautiful, and extremely charming. If you want to go to the beach, go to Main Beach in East Hampton. It is a public space, so you must bring your towels and benches if you want to relax even more.

Hay muchos lugares para ir de compras en estos pueblos. Yo recomiendo que caminen por la calle Principal de East Hampton y en la carretera a Montauk que cruza todo Bridgehampton. Las tiendas son muy pintorescas y super bonitas, con un charm inigualable. Si quieren ir a la playa, visiten Main Beach en East Hampton, es una playa pública por lo que deben llevar sus propias toallas, sillas y alimentos.

Where to go in The Hamptons… Part 1 SOUTHHAMPTON

I went to The Hamptons a couple of weeks ago, and it is a place that exceeds expectations. I have heard from locals in NYC that it was just a place to spend the weekend resting and wandering, but it certainly surprised me. It is a place that I would love to go every summer, it is greenish, joyful, peaceful, and totally enjoyable. It is the perfect place to go shopping, eating, and definitely wandering. The Hamptons is broken down in different small towns: SouthHampton, BridgeHampton, East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Amagansett, and Montauk, which is at the end of the road of Montauk Highway. I stayed at the Southhampton Inn, which is located in South Hampton, the rooms are cozy, clean, and big enough for two. The hotel is affordable in comparison to the other ones located in the zone, and it has a lot of amenities including that my 6 year old yorkie could spent the night.

SouthHampton, BridgeHampton, and East Hampton are beautiful, you can find expensive shopping and the best restaurants, including the famous chain of The Palm. Montauk is wonderful as well but for me, the beauty rests in the other three. However, Montauk is the perfect place for young people, it has amazing bars, and places to dance. This is where you want to go if you are looking for drinks all night long.

I would recommend staying in East Hampton, it is in the middle of the road and it is near the other towns. Here are the places to go while you are in The Hamptons. I divided the post in three parts:

Part 1: Southhampton

Part 2: East Hampton, Sag Harbor, BridgeHampton

Part 3: Montauk 

South Hampton:

– Golden Pear Cafe

It has locations in SouthHampton, BridgeHampton, East Hampton, and Sag Harbor. It is THE local place to visit. I would recommend going for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The coffee is delicious and they have a lot of options for breakfast, specially since they serve it all day long. The local favorite here is the “Scrambled Eggs and Aged NY Cheddar Cheese,” which is served on a baked croissant; it is simple yet tasty and fresh. The service is excellent and the people are extremely friendly. There is no local experience in The Hamptons if you don’t visit Golden Pear Cafe.

– Red Bar Brasserie, Little Red

Red Brasserie has an amazing bar and excellent bar service. The food is exquisite, perfect for dinner with a big group since the dishes on the menu are vast to share. The ambiance is cozy, elegant, and classy. For brunch and lunch go to its little chain Little Red, the pizzas are fantastic.

– Tate’s Bake Shop

Here you will find the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever tried. Kathleen King, owner and founder of the bakery, delivers perfection in each bite giving locals and tourists a place to enjoy marvelous cookies. And the plus, you can find gluten free as well. The cookies are crunchy on the outside but extremely soft on the inside, chewy and delectable.

If you want to do some shopping you have to take a promenade through Main Street, you can find all kinds of shops, local designers and high couture. For exercise, you must visit Pure Barre, a barre workout that will make you a fitness junkie.

Hace tres semanas fui a Los Hamptons, y la verdad es un lugar que excede expectativas. Ya había escuchado del lugar por algunos amigos que viven en NY, lo que me habían comentado era que es un lugar para ir a descansar, relajarse y caminar, pero me sorprendió. Es un lugar que me encantaría volver cada verano, todo está muy verde, muy pacífico y super bonito. Es el lugar perfecto para ir de compras, comer, y definitivamente pasear un rato. Los Hamptons se dividen en diferentes pequeños pueblos: SouthHampton, BrideHampton, East Hampton, Sag Harbor, Amagansett y Montauk, que está situado al final de la ruta de la carretera Montauk. Nosotros nos quedamos en el Southhampton Inn, en Southhampton. Los cuartos son muy acogedores, limpios y suficientemente grandes. El hotel es económico comparado con los otros que se encuentran en la zona, y tiene muchas amenidades, incluyendo que sus mascotas pueden entrar. 

SouthHampton, BridgeHampton y East Hampton son muy bonitos, pueden encontrar excelentes restaurantes, muy elegantes y sofisticados, y tiendas de ropa locales y de diseñador. Montauk también es muy padre, no tan bonito como los demás pueblos, pero tiene muy buen ambiente para gente joven; es el lugar perfecto para tomar y divertirse toda la noche, los bares son excelentes. Yo recomiendo que se queden en East Hampton, tiene de todo y está muy céntrico.

A continuación les paso los lugares que más me gustaron, el post se divide en 3 partes.

Parte 1: Southhampton.

Parte 2: East Hampton, Sag Harbor y BridgeHampton.

Parte 3: Montauk.

SouthHampton:

– Golden Pear Cafe

Con ubicación en SouthHampton, BridgeHampton, East Hampton y Sag Harbor, Golden Pear Cafe es el lugar local a donde ir. Yo recomiendo que vayan a desayunar, brunch o comer. El café es muy rico y tienen muchas opciones para desayunos ya que lo sirven durante todo el día. El platillo favorito por los locales es “Huevos Revueltos con Queso Cheddar NY Añejo,” que viene servido en un croissant recién horneado; es muy simple pero muy rico y fresco. El servicio es excelente y la gente es muy amigable. Para mi, no hay experiencia más local en Los Hamptons que visitar Golden Pear Café.

– Red Bar Brasserie / Little Red

Red Bar Brasserie tiene un bar padrísimo y el servicio es excelente. La comida es exquisita, y es perfecto para ir con un grupo grande pues lo platillos del menú son muy vastos. El ambiente es acogedor, elegante y clásico. Yo recomiendo ir a cenar, si quieren brunch o comida vayan a Little Red. Los dueños son los mismos pero es más pequeño y más informal, las pizzas aquí son deliciosas.

– Tate’s Bake Shop

En este lugar van a encontrar las mejores galletas de chispas de chocolate que yo he probado. La dueña y fundadora, Kathleen King, ofrece perfección en cada mordida, brindando a los locales y turistas un lugar para disfrutar galletas deliciosas. Además, encontrarán galletas gluten free. Todas son crujientes por fuera y muy suaves por dentro.

Si quieren ir de compras, caminen por Main Street; hay todo tipo de tiendas, desde locales hasta de diseñador. Para hacer ejercicio, les recomiendo ir a Pure Barre, es un entrenamiento en barra tipo ballet que los hará convertirse en adictos al ejercicio.

Commune and Memoir, NYC in a word…

Commune and Memoir tells the story of New York in one word. It is a NY based brand founded by Colombian Laura De Valencia. During her childhood she discovered a passion for words after her grandfather transmitted her his love for Greek and Latin roots dictionaries. She went to law school in Colombia but she was more interested in art, design, and reading her favorite writers: Gabriel García Marquez, Jorge Luis Borges, and Paul Auster. This is where she started to underline words that were important to her and gave her a special meaning for love, family, and life.

Three years ago she embraced that passion and decided to start Commune and Memoir. She wanted to do something special with those words and share it with people in a very literal and poetic way. She lives in New York City, therefore she felt connected to this amazing and vibrating city and the words she wanted to express. Her desire was to communicate them in a different and out of the ordinary way, so she thought of describing NYC in just one word. After doing research and several conversations, street encounters, and books, she connected the words to the city. She was determined to transmit them in a specific type of T-shirt that could reflect the softness of the poetry in the words. The challenge for Laura was to select the best and most beautiful way to define them. The T-shirts are manufactured in Peru with Pima cotton, which is one of the superior blends of cotton, extremely soft and durable.

The brand launched in March 2014 and right away it was featured in Marie Claire Magazine. Nina García, Creative Director for the magazine, described them as “Brainy and Cool,” and Vanessa Rosales, Colombian fashion writer for Vogue Latin America, as “style with substance.” She posted about the brand on her Instagram account: “A sensitive endevour that tries to capture this monstrous marvel of an urban landscape with a single, beautiful word.” In her own words she said: “In a world where images flow very vividly, Commune and Memoir, describes the New Yorker experience with words.”

The philosophy of Commune and Memoir “is to make people connect, to transcend beyond fashion, beyond trends; defeat time in a very minimalistic and clean way.” Laura is doing it the right way, the T-shirts have the best quality and the concept is profound and engaging. It is a matter over time, she used words to create a timeless treasure, a timeless memoir.

Commune and Memoir cuenta una historia de Nueva York en una sola palabra. Es una marca radicada en Nueva York, fundada por la Colombiana Laura De Valencia. Durante su infancia descubrió su pasión por las palabras después de que su abuelo le trasmitiera su amor por los diccionarios de raíces Griegas y Latinas. Estudió leyes en Colombia pero su interés estaba más enfocado en el arte, el diseño y en leer a sus escritores favoritos: Gabriel García Márquez, Jorge Luis Borges y Paul Auster. Después de años de investigación, de pláticas en la calle con desconocidos, conversaciones con amigos y varios libros, encontró las palabras perfectas para describir la ciudad. Ella estaba determinada a trasmitirlas en un tipo específico de camiseta que pudiera reflejar la suavidad y lo poético de las palabras. Estas son manufacturadas en Perú y son de algodón Pima, mucho más suave y duradero que el algodón normal. 

La marca fue lanzada en Marzo de este año e inmediatamente fue presentada en la revista Marie Claire. Nina García, Directora Creativa de la revista la describió como “Brainy and Cool,” Vanessa Rosales, escritora de moda para Vogue Latinoamérica, como “estilo con substancia.” En su cuenta de Instagram, Vanessa publicó lo siguiente acerca de la marca: “Un esfuerzo sensible que trata de capturar lo maravilloso de este monstruoso paisaje urbano en una sola y hermosa palabra.” También mencionó: “En un mundo donde las imagenes fluyen con gran exceso, Commune and Memoir describe la experiencia neoyorquina con las palabras.”

La filosofía de Commune and Memoir es “conectar a las personas, trascender a través del tiempo más allá de la moda y de las tendencias, desafiar al tiempo en una forma minimalista y limpia.” Laura lo está logrando, las camisetas tienen la mejor calidad y el concepto es profundo y muy atractivo. Es una marca que se mueve a través del tiempo, que conecta a través del tiempo; una marca que usa las palabras para crear un tesoro infinito, un recuerdo infinito.

“El que puede cambiar sus pensamientos, puede cambiar su destino.”
A veces, en momentos de soledad y de lejanía, me pongo a pensar lo que he hecho y lo que ha sido de mi vida hasta ahora, y en ocasiones me da alegría y en ocasiones decepción. Y no me lo tomen a mal, amo mi vida y amo lo que soy y lo que hago con ella, simplemente hay momentos en los que me siento frustrada por no encontrar mi camino o más bien me siento perdida. No se si a ustedes les ha pasado pero es un sentimiento muy deprimente y muy negativo, no es tan bueno dejarnos vencer por este tipo de pensamientos que hacen cuestionarnos a nosotros mismos de esa manera. Por esto creo que si es cierto lo que dicen, si cambiamos nuestro pensar podemos cambiar nuestro azar. Como se sienten este viernes? Yo hoy me siento determinada a cambiarlos o al menos a no dejarlos entrar a mi cabeza, porque mi destino puede ser tan extraordinario y tan impresionante como yo quiera. Y también me siento feliz porque gano Mexico el primer partido.

Do we forget?

“We don’t lose friends when we stop seeing them, but when we stop remembering them.”

Our life has a lot of roads, paths, and doors that lead us in different directions, and on the way we meet people, people that will help us, guide us, or stay with us till the end. We keep looking for a way to make our life memorable, but we forget that what makes our life memorable is the people we come across. Aristotle once said “In poverty and other misfortunes in life, true friends are a sure refuge. They keep the young out of mischief; they comfort and aid the old in their weakness, and they incite those in the prime of life to noble deeds.” The human being needs friends to be able to live, to solve problems, to have a better and happier life. So why is it that we keep forgetting the ones we met in the beginning of our lives? As we make new friends, why do we leave the old ones to destiny? What makes us separate the new from the old? I think we all have friends we made during our childhood but now we don’t speak to them; our lives have changed, but they’ve made an impact, they were there for a reason. What makes a friend, a friend till the end? Maybe some circumstances in our lives made us chose for another direction, but we don’t have to forget the ones that came in first, the ones that were with us at a certain point. We need to start remembering those who changed us, those who were our friends and helped us.

Lets make our own personal reunion. If life makes you cross paths again don’t let them get away, they came back because they are an important part of your existence. And maybe because they will change you life for good. So, to those friends I left behind, I am sorry, I wish you happiness, love, and well being, and I thank you for those unforgettable moments you gave me. I have never forgotten you. For those who came back, I will make sure not to lose you again, thank you for remembering me. And for those who stayed all the time, there are no words to express how important you are in my life, you are my refuge, my comfort, my happiness, my life… How are you feeling this Friday? I am feeling excited because I will spend an entire weekend with those friends who came back, thank you for your enormous heart and welcoming love. May our memories never get lost in time…

La vida tiene muchos caminos, muchos rumbos y muchas puertas que nos llevan hacia distintas direcciones, y en el camino vamos conociendo gente que nos ayuda, que nos guía, o que se queda con nosotros para siempre. Muchas veces buscamos formas de hacer que nuestra vida sea inolvidable y nos olvidamos que lo que hace a nuestra vida inolvidable es la gente que nos vamos encontrando. Aristóteles decía que “en la pobreza y en otras adversidades de la vida, los verdaderos amigos son un refugio seguro. Ellos mantienen a los jóvenes lejos de la maldad, confortan y ayudan a los mayores en sus momentos de debilidad, e incitan a los afortunados a hacer el bien. El hombre feliz necesita amigos.” El ser humano necesita a los amigos para tener una vida plena, nada que se tenga se goza en soledad, los amigos son necesarios para vivir, para ayudarnos a resolver problemas, para tener una vida más feliz y más afortunada. Entonces, ¿por qué olvidamos a los que conocimos durante las primeras etapas de nuestras vidas? Conforme vamos conociendo nuevos amigos, ¿por qué dejamos a los “viejos” al destino? ¿Qué es lo que nos hace separar los nuevos de los viejos? Yo creo que todos tenemos amigos que conocimos en nuestra infancia y que ya no hablamos con ellos, nuestras vidas cambiaron y tomamos distintos caminos pero ellos estuvieron ahí por una razón, formaron parte y muchos dejaron huella. Para ustedes, ¿qué es lo que hace que un amigo que quede hasta el final en su vida? Quizás algunas circunstancias de la vida nos separaron, pero no debemos olvidar que ellos llegaron primero y que estuvieron con nosotros durante ciertos momentos importantes de la vida. Debemos empezar a recordar a aquellos que nos cambiaron, que nos ayudaron o que simplemente estuvieron ahí. Si la vida los pone en su camino de nuevo, no los dejen ir, estoy segura que regresan por una razón y que sin que se den cuenta cambiarán sus vidas para bien. No puedo cambiar mis decisiones del pasado pero si las del futuro. Para mis amigos que deje ir, lo siento, les deseo una vida llena de éxitos y de felicidad, gracias por todos los increíbles recuerdos de la infancia. A lo que regresaron, no los volveré a dejar ir, gracias por recordarme. Y a los que siempre estuvieron, no hay palabras para expresar lo importante que son en mi vida, ustedes son mi refugio, mi confort, mi esperanza, mi felicidad, mi vida… ¿Cómo se sienten este viernes? Yo hoy estoy muy contenta porque pasaré todo el fin de semana con aquellas amigas que volvieron. A ustedes, gracias por la increíble bienvenida de vida y su amor incondicional. Espero nuestra historias nunca se pierdan en el tiempo…

 

 

Is it always worth taking the risk?

We all have a tendency to believe that things will happen, that life will give us what we have been waiting for in a spontaneous moment. However, even though life has given the same amount of opportunities for all, some of us play it safe and some of us take risks. I am a true believer that taking the risk of something is always worth it, we don’t know the outcome but it could turn into something extraordinary, or it could be the greatest mistake of our lives. Last week I saw an inspiring movie called “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” and it’s about a man that dreams of having an adventurous life but he lives in his comfort zone working for a magazine developing pictures of people who actually live life the fullest. The day he decides to take the risk and fight for what he has dreamed of becoming, his life turns into breathtaking pieces of moments that made everything worthwhile. So, is it always worthwhile taking risks? Do we need to have the courage to fight or settle? Are we brave enough to face the facts, consequences, and realities of taking the risks of our lives? I do believe it is always worth it, no matter what, as long as the only implication in that risk is yourself; only you would know if your heart is worthwhile loving again, if your live is worthwhile living, and if yourself is worthwhile believing. Because we were meant to leave the harbor, never settle for the “what if.” How are you feeling this Friday? Today, I don’t feel like playing it safe, lets see in what direction my risks take my life, or maybe just the weekend (lol). Wish you all an spectacular weekend, or life if you choose to gamble.

Muchos de nosotros tenemos la tendencia de creer que las cosas van a pasar por arte de magia, o que simplemente un día la vida nos va a sorprender con esa cosa, ese momento, esa vida que hemos estado deseando. Pero, aunque la vida nos de muchas oportunidades, algunos de nosotros decidimos ir a lo seguro y algunos otros decidimos tomar riesgos. Yo realmente creo que tomar el riesgo de lo que sea, siempre vale la pena, no sabemos si el resultado puede ser lo más extraordinario que nos pudiera pasar, o puede ser el error más grande de nuestras vidas, lo cual también nos enriquece. La semana pasada vi una película que se llama “La Vida Secreta de Walter Mitty” que trata de un hombre que vive soñando en tener una vida llena de aventuras, pero está en su zona de comfort trabajando para una revista revelando fotos de personas que realmente viven al máximo. El día en que él decide tomar riesgos y luchar por lo que siempre había querido hacer, su vida se vuelve en una serie de momentos inesperados que hacen que todo haya valido la pena. Entonces, ¿creen que siempre valga la pena tomar riesgos?¿Necesitamos valor para poder enfrentar nuestra lucha por la vida, o simplemente es mejor conformarnos? ¿Somos lo suficientemente fuertes para aceptar los hechos, las consecuencias y las realidades que implican tomar esos riesgos? Yo creo que si vale la pena, siempre y cuando los únicos implicados seamos nosotros mismos y nadie más. Solamente tú sabras si vale la pena que tu corazón vuelva a amar, que tu vida vuelva a retomar su rumbo, que tú vuelvas a creer en ti mismo; porque nacimos para dejar el puerto, nunca se conformen con el “qué hubiera pasado.” ¿Cómo se sienten este viernes? Yo no quiero vivir a lo seguro, quiero saber qué rumbo seguirá mi vida después de tomar riesgos. ¡¡Excelente fin para todos!! o ¡excelente vida si deciden apostarle!
